These types of repair vary in how they are repaired as it depends on how deep the scratches run into the paintwork. Often they can be repaired by the flatting and polishing technique if the lacquer has not been scratched through.

When the scratch runs deep the only alternative is to respray the damaged area. Rest assured that I will not carry out any unnecessary work and will always endeavour to keep the repair area as small as possible but in today's vast array of car colours it is often necessary to blend the newly painted area into adjacent panels to achieve a seamless repair.

Whenever possible you will have your car returned to you on a same day basis but with these types of job – the size of the repair area dictates the timescale.
